Etching line laif

HORIZONTAL ETCHING LINE FROM LAIF ENGINEERING CO.

We started our own design by going through the etching process: we studied the correlation of the etching speed, the temperature, the density and the pH. The mathematical model was created and we saw the dependence of the etching speed on the parameters of the etching bath.

In January 2004 we asked Mr.Voss from Laif engeneering Co. to build the corresponding line for us. We asked to employ our Excel model of etching, dimension and output rating. We insisted on the machine to stand by for the whole shift with minimal assistance and low water consumption. The system is operated by touch screen.

The sets of parameters are stored in the memory:
working temperature of the bath +/- 1 deg C, optimal bath density, limit of conductivity of washing-water, copper thickness and 1-/2-sided pcb. These sets can be easily loaded for eatch etching task.

At the beginning of the shift it is necessary to control the fillings, open the ammonia-valve, load the parameters and one hour later the machine is ready. In 3 minutes the etched and dried boards are ready in an output magazine, ready for testing. The machine stops after the last board automatically.
