TechnologyCAM DEPARTEMENTAll customers data are converted into drill-, mil- and test programs. Here are the films prepared
as well as galvanic parameters etc. Before production DRILLING MACHINE SCHMOLLSCHMOLL MASCHINEN Co. from Rödermark, Germany, delivers the machines via austrian IMPEX Leiterplatten GmbH , located in Sankt Michael, Austria. This clever machine has a very friendly SW and the most important feature is its optical system, enabling a very exact drilling of ML boards. The machine inspects the inner layers of the board by optical inspection of particulary drilled centering marks. The depth of drilling can be controlled as well. One of our machines is equipped with an automatic loader for 20 packs. It drills so reliably, that these packs –up to 20 sq m of PCBs- are drilled unattended over night. DrillingMETALLIZING LINE SHADOWIn this machine the drilled PCBs are covered by a small amount of graphite, for the following galvanic process. This delicate process is realized in horizontal line built by the german company LAIF Engineering GmbH. The line runs 10sq m per hour and this technology saves a whole day of production time. Shadow line GALVANIC LINE ELMARCThe ELMARCO Co. built the galvanic line for us. Galvanic EXPOSURE OF THE MOTIFThis working place in located in an extension of the factory. The PCBs are developed in a RESCO developer. Motif exposure THE ETCHING MACHINE LAIFThe etching machine is one of the machines designed by our staff, built by LAIF Engineering GmbH. The precise etching process enables to etch even 0.1 mm wide tracks. According to our design have been built several similar machines. Etching the motifOPTICAL INSPECTION AOI FROM MANIAThe CCD camera view is compared with the Gerber data of the PCB. The great advantages are the simplicity of MANIA and easy data conversion. AOI inspects the etched layers of PCBs. It picks up the defects of the copper layer like narrow or interrupted tracks, etching problems etc. The faults are located directly on the board and marked. (The e-test is performed on the finished boards.) AOI tester SOLDER MASK COVERINGWe use an older machine from the former ZPA Novy Bor Co. This method guarantees a uniform cover of the board and even the sides of the tracks. LANTRONIC HALThe machine was overhauled in 2008 by PCB-MB, Material & Anlagen Service Co. and adapted for leadfree coating. Compared to our old HAL the new machine saves the electricity as well as the press air. Our old turret system was actually the second HAL in the whole country. The slovak PPT Co. delivered flux station for it additionally. E-TESTER EMMA ELX 6146These japanese machines MicroCraft are delivered by german MicroCraft GmbH Co. in Idstein in Germany. This first tester was installed in August, 2004. Due to its reliability we were not affraid to buy a second one in December, 2007. Including Speedy from MANIA, three e-testers check the quality of our boards. FORMATING BY THE MILLING MACHINE LENZ PT415This two-spindle machine from Ernst Lenz Maschinenbau GmbH was built in 1990 and is still an attractive old cat. Its Z axis is adjustable by a potentiometer, it is built simply, so we use it for the drilling no more. Mr. Miroslav Kovar built the communication path to our pc-net and we integrated the video system. We can create milling programs by video-tracking directly from the PCBs. V-CUTTINGIn 1993 there existed only one v-cutter in the N-ets company in the Czech republic. Our v-cutter was constructed according to our design in the same year in the mechanical workshop of the former ZPA Novy Bor. Our machine had one pair of cutters, it was adjusted mechanically and was measured optically. Several years later we modernized the machine: the adjustment is done by step-motors and the measuring by the videocamera. Mr.Benes from MIRES CONTROL s.r.o. Ltd. added a PC with a proprietary SW. In such a way modernized machine is comparable with professional cutters in the world. OSP LINEAlong with excluding the lead from soldering we looked for an alternative technology for the HAL. We have chosen the OSP with the horizontal line. We ordered it at the slovak PPT Co. represented by Ing. Loebl. The line was delivered in June 2006. The line consits of water ultrasonic cleaner, where the dust from the boards is removed. The advantage is the rough surface of the copper pad. The solder adhers excellently to such surface. ML-PRESSIn our company there are two WABASH machines in operation. We press in two stacks sized 600x600 mm. We pressed even 32-layer PCBs! Both press machines were modernized, the temperature profile can be adjusted. No sophisticated electronics is needed, but we plan to computerize it in the future. |
